New canopy for Thames dutch cruiser
ELITE Marine Services covers it all on ‘Dutch Steal’
Having successfully fitted the new Flybridge screen to Pam Statham’s river cruiser, ELITE Marine Services set about the second development plan on the boat; a new canopy for the upper deck.

The first phase of this job was to visit ‘Dutch Steal’ and take measurements to enable ELITE Marine Services to design the framework to support the canopy. Once all the measurements were taken and the pattern made the team of skilled technicians used their extensive experience of building boats to design a framework that would hold the canopy securely and provide an entire cover to the upper deck.

Once the drawings were completed the framework design was built using stainless steel for longevity and strength. The team at ELITE Marine Services then completed the second phase of development, to erect the stainless steel framework on ‘Dutch Steal’.The team constructed the frame in just one day and used this stage in the process to ensure the fit of the structure, making any necessary minor adjustments. At this stage Pam selected the colour and material for the canopy to be custom made to fit the new framework. ELITE Marine Services then returned for the final fitting, fastening and securing the canopy cover to the boat.

Pam was thrilled with the end result, “I’m so glad that my boat now has a full cover to protect the Flybridge and keep it secure whilst in its berth. Once again ELITE Marine Services have helped me fulfil my vision for ‘Dutch Steal’ and delivered an exceptionally good quality job on time and budget. I’ve no hesitation in recommending them - they are very professional and always offer me the best advice and guidance.”
