The Tewkesbury Water Festival is acknowledged throughout the county as being a fantastic celebration of all things water related. It combines bringing together the community and provides a showcasing opportunity for local businesses. ELITE Marine Services is proud to announce its association with the water festival and this year, after the devastating floods that occurred last summer, we are looking to make this the greatest water festival in its history, and in order to launch fund raising efforts to support this event we are delighted to announce the date of the first Tewkesbury Water Festival Sponsor’s Ball as the 17th May 2008.
The new Water Festival Committee is delighted to host the Sponsor’s Ball - an event for local businesses that are keen to support the Water Festival. The ball is being held at the stunning King John’s Castle, Tewkesbury. All funds raised from ticket sales will be used to ensure that this year’s water festival, which is being held on Saturday 20th September, is a fantastic event. All businesses represented at the event will automatically be entitled to a free basic listing in the new water festival guide. The evening promises entertainment, an auction and the chance to take a look around this splendid building - a true local treasure. During the evening a short presentation will be made providing detailed plans for the water festival this year and outlining other sponsorship opportunities that exist to promote local businesses.
Tickets cost just £10 per person and can be requested by emailing us for an application form. Numbers will be limited so please hurry to avoid disappointment.
The ELITE Marine Services open day to launch its fantastic new technical chandlery and Yamaha service centre is being held on Saturday 3rd May 2008. The event is planned to be a celebration of this new facility at Tewkesbury Marina but also celebrates all things boating for the typical inland waterway enthusiast.
We’ve pulled together a whole host of suppliers to offer an event that’s sure to satisfy everyone’s requirements, so if you’re looking for something to do on 3rd May then this is just the event for you.
The doors open at 10am and to kick things off we’ve got a sparkling reception at 11am with the cutting of our celebration cake. Our technical experts are going to be on hand all day – the team at ELITE will be ready to answer all your questions completely free of charge and to back them up we’ve got the guys from Vetus, technical support from Yamaha, the team from Sleipner with their brilliant SidePower bow thrusters and lots lots more. Our canopy and boat upholstery service will be on show with product support material to explain to you just how a canopy is made.
From 1pm we’ll be serving up a complementary BBQ and salad bar and you may even be tempted by our sweet delights!
Throughout the day the Terhi boat range is going to be on show – a fantastic product imported solely by Yamaha as a modern twist on the traditional Finnish fishing boat.
Alongside the Terhi’s we’ve also got our friends at Tewkesbury Marina demonstrating their brand new Viking range of boats which are perfect for the inland waterways. And if you’re looking for something else, a Narrowboat or perhaps a sportier model you’re sure to find something on the Tewkesbury Marina brokerage which is going to be open for you to view.
This event is completely free of charge and we’re hoping to really kick start the boating season. There’s going to be experts available throughout the day so please bring your boating questions along to pose to the team.

We’re holding an open day on Saturday 3rd May at our Tewkesbury Marina site. The event marks the launch of ELITE’s brand new technical chandlery, ShipShape Chandlery, and opening of the authorised Yamaha service centre.
There will be a whole host of different activities running throughout the day including river trials of the latest Yamaha outboard engine and a complementary barbecue. This is also your chance to have completely free access to our technicians in an ‘ask the experts’ session where you can bring your boat related questions and put us to the test. The whole team will be on hand to offer their advice.

We’re pleased to announce that ELITE Marine Services has joined the British Marine Federation which is the trade association for the UK’s boating industry. ELITE join the federation’s 1550 members which span the whole marine industry from sectors including seagoing and inland waters, boat sales, hire, services and superyacht.
